Howard Homecoming
So, I came back a few days ago from the biggest homecoming in the nation at Howard University. I feel like i've been trying to recuperate from the weekend for days now! When I say the weekend was fun, it was FUN! Too much going on. I'll attach a few pics on this blog and put the rest on bad-perm.com. Look out soon for the pics and what I did.

Bad Perm
Hey all!
Well the links below (from TdotExposed) no longer work. I have to remove the links and add the pictures that I used for that website.
Anyhow, on to something new! I am now a member of a new website that will be launched in 12 hours called Bad Perm. I'm excited as this is a hip hop website headed by an all female team. Look out for us.

THANKS
I just want to take the time out and thank those that have visited my blog. I appreciate it. I really do. Your views is the motivation that I need to continue to become better. I thank each and everyone of you. I especially thank my profs for telling me what they think of my photographs straight up! They did not hold back when they didn't like it. Even calling me out in front of classmates when I didn't know something! Because of them and my determination to succeed I have an............
EXHIBIT at school with 2 other peers. I hollered when I found out that my application to show my work was accepted. DAMMMN! I'm pumped now! What a way to end my last year at University. I'm excited and i'm going to keep on keeping on. And photographing everywhere, everyone, all the time. YAY! More details will follow once I receive more info on this exhibit.
Also, one of the profs that is going to help us in the exhibition was my prof last year for a full year photography class. He was one of the profs that called me out, saw my progress from September to April and was proud to see where I was headed. That prof also had my back when I was trying to waive a course that he felt wasn't mandatory for me to take! He gave me the best grade ever too! I owe that prof only my best.
Once again, I thank you.

A photoshoot by the beach
Sorry it's been so long. Forgive me, but I will be on the ball with updating this blog at least once or twice a week.
A dear friend of mine (she's like an older sister), let me take photos of her daughter by the beach for an agency. I have before and after pics of the day of the shoot and editing. It was fun and the weather co-operated with us down by the waterfront. Both were happy with the outcome of the pictures as was I. This is the early stages of my photoshop editing.
By the way, the last photos, I had a white sheet that I used for a white background! You have to improvise when you don't have much! Also, these photos were taken June or July 2010.

Jam, Jam Jam!!!
It's been awhile since I last updated. Here are some pics that I took at an event called Honey Jam in 2009.
The first few pictures are from the Media Launch a month before the event.
Enjoy!!!
Plus, I'll find the online link to a weekly newspaper (EYE weekly) that used my images.

Student show in the student gallery
It was an impromptu show in our student gallery, so I decided to put two of my favourite pictures up from my Perfect Ballerina series. These were taken using 35mm film and done in the colour darkroom in school. I'll show you more of my photos including my painting and screen painting works in student shows.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!

My First Post!!!
I'm excited to finally get my blog going showcasing my school assignments as well as other things I see that interests me.
My last assignment in colour photography I used my best friend that frequently models for me. She posed as a ballerina for this assignment. My photos for this assignment shows ballerinas in ways that are not stereotypical.
Bear with me as I learn my way around blogger :) Until then....ciao!
